Let it SNOW!

Isn't Mother Nature a funny lady? We had a funny little freak of nature happen yesterday- SNOW- and LOTS of it! It was really heavy, wet snow. Gigantic flakes that were more like mini snowballs coming down! Of course, everything down here shut down! The snow ended up being 6 inches or so, but in GA, they don't have the road crews for this, and even their emergency vehicles aren't equipped for the slushy roads. It's a little scary! Jackson County officially declared a "state of emergency". Wow! Lots of people are also without power. We're lucky that didn't affect us! Anyway- yesterday we went to the store, got a few things, and came home to "hunker down"! Carley couldn't wait to get in the snow, so we got her all geared up and I headed outside to play with her for awhile. The snow was PERFECT for snowmen and snowballs! And it wasn't freezing outside, so with out snow gear on we were able to stay out for awhile and play. After an hour or so, Syd got snow fever and traded places with me. Carley was probably outside for almost two hours! It was truly a little "snow therapy"! It's already almost melted today...but we had a BLAST yesterday playing in the Georgia snow. :) It doesn't happen very often, so it's a rare treat when we get to have the white stuff!
