Carley and Grant are exactly two months apart. Grant was born on June 17th, and Carley on August 17th. Grant is the oldest child of Lindsey and Trent, and Carley is obviously our oldest. Up until we moved to Georgia, these two were more like brother and sister than cousins. :)
I started watching Grant at our home a few days a week when Carley was around six weeks old. We spent a LOT of time together! We've had our ups and downs and our shares of "Grant's Firsts" and "Carley's Firsts" but it has been so much fun to see them interact as they grow up and play together. Carley misses Grant SO much when he's not around, but acts as though he causes her SO much emotional strife when they are together. (drama!) It's hilarious to watch their personalities together as they grow up.
Probably just about the HARDEST thing about moving here to Georgia was knowing what an impact it would have on their relationship. They used to see eachother once a week or more, and now it's every few months. They are long distance cousins. Makes me so sad. I'm sure as they get older they'll get more into their "boy things" or "girl things" and drift apart a little, but we have MORE than enough proof that they used to be partners in crime.
Carley was really verbal when she was very young, and when she was a little over one she would call Grant "NA!". Well, since that's all Grant heard her say, he started calling her "NA!" too. It was the funniest thing! Whenever they'd greet eachother, they'd give big hugs and say "NA!", "NA!". Awwww....
